About Us
Our Story
We love to help people. Over twenty-five years ago, we were founded to serve people in their tax and small business needs. As we grew, we never wavered in our purpose-to provide excellent, caring, and professional service. There’s a great deal of trust involved in what we do, because people share more than their finances with us. We’re there for first homes, new babies, unfortunate circumstances such as a painful divorce or the loss of a spouse. From the joyful to the challenging, we see a lot and we do a lot to help our clients navigate the changes of life.
As a company, we’ve had challenges of our own. When our founder, Brian Roark, passed away after twenty-one years of business, his wife, Anita, took the helm. Integrity faced some serious uphill battles, including Covid and the loss of a magnetic leader.
Selling to a large, corporate tax giant could have been the answer and that almost happened. However, in the 11th hour, the spirit of Integrity prevailed, and we went back to our roots, reimagined our structure but not how we do business. We roll with the punches of life, just as our clients do. That is why we’re still here, thriving and doing our best for our clients- season after season.
Our Journey Begins in Jenison, MI
2000
In the year 2000, Brian Roark took a bold step and acquired an existing tax firm on Chicago Drive in Jenison, MI, laying the foundation for what would become Integrity Tax Group. Over the years, our team has grown to include many other tax and small business experts, each contributing their unique talents and expertise to our shared vision.
Integrity Tax and Financial opened our Grand Haven office.
2010
2011
Integrity Tax and Financial expanded further in Jenison, having two locations.
Integrity Tax and Financial rebranded to Integrity Tax Group to better reflect who we are.
2013
Two locations became one as we combined our Jenison offices into our main location on Cottonwood Drive. In addition, Integrity Tax Group expanded to Holland.
2015
Integrity Tax Group expanded to Northeast Grand Rapids and Southern Indiana.
2016
Our Beloved Founder, Brian Roark, passed away after a sudden illness. His widow, Anita, continues to build on his foundation.
2019
Integrity Tax Group expanded to Rockford.
2020
2021
Indiana and Michigan locations separated to serve our local clientele better.
To ensure the future of Integrity Tax Group, an internal Tax Preparer Development program was started.

Today and Tomorrow
Today, Integrity Tax Group has evolved into a one-stop shop for all tax and small business needs. We take pride in offering a wide range of services, including full payroll, bookkeeping, small business assistance, and comprehensive tax services for individuals and businesses.
